Freekeh with Sausages Bram

Ingredients

  • 3 cups freekeh soaked in water
  • 400 grams of sausage
  • 2 large onions – sliced
  • 1 small onion – minced
  • 1 garlic clove – minced
  • 1 green pepper – minced
  • 1 red pepper – minced
  • 2 chili peppers – minced
  • 4 tbsp Wadi Food olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Wadi Food tomato paste
  • 2 tomatoes – minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tomatoes cut into rings
  • 4 tbsp parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric

Steps

  1. Cook sausages with onion slices with a tablespoon of olive oil
  2. Add garlic and chilli, and season all with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. In another pan, cook colored peppers with onions until the mixture melts.
  4. Add the freekeh after it is filtered from the water of soaking, then stir all.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and turmeric.
  6. Add the tomato paste, tomatoes, and parsley and stir well.
  7. Place the sausage in the bottom of the bram, and then pour the freekeh and vegetables mixture.
  8. Pour the chicken broth till the bram is full.
  9. Tomato rings are placed on the top.
  10. Bram is baked in a hot oven for an hour until the freekeh absorbs the broth and becomes coarse.
  11. Serve hot and lightly decorated with chopped parsley and chili.
